Feeding Maui Nui: AlohaPlates2Go

From April 2020 to December 2021, MFTC worked with nonprofits and the County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Services Office on Aging on a community feeding program called Feeding Maui Nui: AlohaPlates2GO.”

This program was a win-win for our islands’ families and food vendors. Over 60,000 meals were provided to local residents and over 30 food trucks and food establishments participated.

Eligible recipients were seniors (60 years or older), spouses (of any age), and grandparents (55 years and over) who are raising grandchildren on the islands of Mau‘i, Moloka‘i and Lana‘i. Participants received Vouchers that they turned in for meals at designated food trucks. There was no cost to participate.

The Feeding Maui Nui program concluded on December 31, 2021. We extend a big mahalo to all the businesses who participated.
