International Food Ingredients and Additives Exhibition & Conference, May 2019

The 2019 IFIA Trade Show was held on May 15 - 17, 2019 at Tokyo’s Big Sight’s Aomi Exhibition Center Halls A and B.  This show focuses on ingredients that are suited for use by manufacturers for use in value-added food products.  Attendees generally focus on new and novel ingredients.  The HFE JAPAN 2019 (Health Food Exhibition) was also held concurrently in the same venue.  It is the leading exhibition for manufacturers and suppliers for the health-conscious Japanese market, with an emphasis on food-related ingredients.  There were a total of 381 exhibitors in 664 booths.  This event is the premier scientific and expo show for food scientists and affiliated professionals in Japan.  The show is not open to the public.  Professionals from around the world were also in attendance at the show.

The Hawaii Department of Agriculture’s exhibit included 2 booths with 7 participating Hawaii companies.  The 7 participating companies:
