MFTC announces Food Labeling Workshop on October 30
Maui Food Technology Center (MFTC) will hold an in-person Food Labeling Workshop on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Maui Food Innovation Center at UH Maui College, Pilina Building, Room 225 located at 310 W. Kaahumanu Avenue in Kahului. Those interested in learning about the latest in food labeling, regulatory requirements, and how their efforts can be a game changer are encouraged to attend.
During this informational webinar, Nina Ann Tanabe, MS, CFS, Principal of Pacific Food Technology, LLC, and Board President for MFTC will cover the following topics:
Who needs a food label?
What products do these federal agencies (USDA, FDA, and TTB) cover?
What are FDA’s mandatory requirements for food labeling?
What are the labeling deadlines for the USDA and FDA?
