For the next phase of growth, the nonprofit’s president Luana Mahi said Tuesday evening that the center has plans to build a collaborative website and open a commercial kitchen facility for local entrepreneurs to use.

Mayor Michael Victorino announced the award of three County of Maui grants totaling $155,000 to three nonprofits to support farmers, food security, workforce development and diversified agriculture, the Office of Economic Development announced. MFTC has received a $25,000 grant for its Maui Sunday Market project.

The 2019 IFIA Trade Show was held on May 15 - 17, 2019 at Tokyo’s Big Sight’s Aomi Exhibition Center Halls A and B. This show focuses on ingredients that are suited for use by manufacturers for use in value-added food products.
